BABE, I GOT YOU BAD

I'm totally lame when buying music, i wander into a store, look around and generally can't think of anything i want so leave again. Last week i was doing just this when i strolled past C in Rock/Pop. Glancing through Nick Cave i found this.....

It was only released in March and i snapped it up. $36 for 56 songs...yeah baby.
Now i can't write interesting, articulate reviews like Amanda or Fuschia, so i won't even try. But i can say It Rocks. I have only listened to it a couple of times, and not all the songs. 56 takes a bit of time, you know, but true to form it is filled with beautiful things. Some great reworkings of favourites and a lot of brand new Nick to fall in love with.
Acoustic versions of The Mercy Seat, Leonard Cohens Tower of Song, Red Right Hand for the movie Scream 3, Black Hair ( why do ya think i dye my hair, nothing to do with the increasing grey, its so Nick sings to me...)
King Kong Kitchee Kitchee Ki-Mi-O, which may sound like a Pacific Cruise entertainer's set but is actually an angry Nick singing about King and a Kong and Kitchee's. Not bad at all, odd but good.

So all i can say is if you like our Nick, buy it and you won't be sad, even from Little Ghost Song.
