'DO YOU KNOW WHAT WE NEED?'
I casually asked the universe.
'WHAT WOULD THAT BE?'

'A NEW EXPENSIVE SEASONAL HOBBY'
I answered, while trying not to stare at their flaming swords
'RIGHT ON SISTER'
they warbled.

Thus under devine affirmation, we trotted off to the Ski Swap under the big tent at Chili's carpark.
We were going to see if there was any decent second hand gear, but in the end we bought brand new boards and boots. If you believed the retail price vs the sale price, we saved a lot of cashola.
I chose the cheaper of the options given to me, I figured I don't need a uber 3leet board and also because it had the cutest picture.
Last season we used rental which were all a bit bished up, so I didn't realise they had such a sharp metal edge ( will try not to run into any small children, could take a leg off) and I'm thinking of dragging it over some cinders to roughen up the bottom, so I get some kind of traction and control. It is all very slick and shiny.
The universe showed its approval by having it rain down here at 7000ft but snow up on the peaks yesterday.
I never thought I'd look forward to the cold....how this strange land has changed me.
